Single Chip Flash Disk


The DiskOnChip-Millennium, a member of M-Systems' DiskOnChip family of products, is a monolithic solid-state flash disk available in a standard 32-pin DIP or TSOP package. 

The DiskOnChip-Millennium products are optimized for use in Information Appliances, 
Set Top Boxes, Thin client or Network Computers, Thin Server, Embedded and portable PC-compatible computers that require minimal weight, space and power consumption, providing a very attractive alternative to conventional hard and floppy disk drives.

  * Single chip, Plug-and-play Flash Disk 
  * Low power consumption with single 3.3V or 5V power supply 
  * 8 Mbytes (64Mbit) capacity 
  * Small footprint available in 32-pin TSOP-II or DIP package 
  * EDC/ECC for high data reliability

Broad O/S support: 

  * DOS, Win 95/98, WinNT4.0/5.0, WinCE, pSOS+, QNX, VxWorks, Linux, and others 
  * Compatible with all major processors: x86, MediaGX, PowerPC, 68K, MIPS, SHx, StrongARM and others

Embedded TrueFFS® Software provides:

  * Full hard disk read/write and boot capability
  * Third generation wear leveling
